Planning

Summer’s over, and that usually signals the beginning of the school year. At work, it means planning for next year, 2016.

I’ve talked about how much I value keeping a journal, but it’s not a journal in a typical sense. I have different sections for expenses, for inspiring pictures, for inventories (clothes, makeup), lists.

The one page I look at all the time is my calendar. It’s a one page printout of the 12 months of the year, pasted into my journal.

Life, just like projects, is about time and activities. Seeing the full year laid out makes sure I keep the big picture. Annual commitments like trips and birthdays. But it also reminds me not to take time for granted, and that I make the right choices on how I want to spend it.

2016 is coming….what are you planning?
